So…
March 26, 2008
I caved and bought a pair of fuzzy boots. I know what you’re thinking: fuzzy boots are for stupid sorority girls. I agree! Here’s how it went down:
I went into the shoe store downtown to buy some shoe guard and there were the boots, sitting there, with a sale tag that said $20- last pair. And they were even the right color, the only color I would ever consider buying. Now, I’ve been a strong hater of the fuzzy boots since they became popular. But I saw these in the store and I thought, I should try them on just to see how stupid they look. But you know how that goes? You try something really ugly on to be funny and then go, “oh. well I actually like this…damn.” Yeah, that’s what happened to me. So, I now own a pair of boots. I go back and forth between being excited about new shoes and ashamed that I’m now one of “those girls.”
Anyway, moving on. In other news, my dad is down at the Mayo Clinic this week. It’s good news so far. They still don’t know anything, but they are the main center for ALS so they see it all the time, all types, all stages, everything, and they don’t think that’s what my dad has. And these people would know. So there’s still no diagnosis yet, but good news just the same.
Also, I’m up to six students now! I started a new girl last night. She’s 10 and she’s actually my most advanced student, level 2. Whee! She’s really cute, and she’s the second student I have now that took from Debi and hated it. So…I’m not gonna say anything about that, except that’s what happens when you don’t let kids play anything fun. So I let her pick out a different method and also a fun song for us to work on. She picked out the Simpson’s theme which I thought was a good sign, lol.
Well, that’s all for now. I should have pictures up later of my cactus and, hopefully, my new fish (depending on cost).
